ASSOCIATE POSITION NOW AVAILABLE! Busy, multi-doctor small/exotic animal practice seeks a progressive, enthusiastic associate veterinarian. We’re family oriented and take no after hour emergencies. Flexible work schedule allows for quality time off. In house lab includes new Heska Spotchem EZ+CBC-Diff+iStat plus coagulation profiles. Our clinic is fully equipped including: computerized (Avimark, near paperless), CO2 laser surgical unit, cryosurgical unit, new Bovie electrosurgical unit, Tonopen and Dental Aire unit. We’re currently developing our rigid and flexible endoscopy capabilities and have just purchased a complete Sound Technology TruDR digital radiography system (including a new Sedecal x-ray machine) along with a GE Logiq Book Ultrasound. We’ve got a great support staff!  We’re in a desert community with easy access to recreation areas--snow skiing, water sports and backpacking. We offer a competitive salary, starting at $60,000 base (with no experience) with benefits which include matching Safe Harbor 401k plan , ½ of your medical insurance, all local and one national CE convention (including airfare, hotel, registration fees), AVMA dues, malpractice insurance, Texas license fee, controlled substance license fees (DEA and TDPS) and a uniform allowance. Those with experience start at a competitive salary plus commission. If you don’t have a Texas license, but are licensed in another state, then Texas can grant you a license by also considering your National Board Exam and CC in addition to the Texas Jurisprudence exam. If you would like to visit with us about the position I would be willing to reimburse you for one-half of your airfare and, if hired, I will pay one-half of your moving expense (up to $1,500). An apartment is available for your use at no charge during your preceptorship.
